Alfabeti Sommersi (Submerged Alphabets)
Emilio Isgrò and Anselm Kiefer at Palazzo Vecchio, Florence
November 1st to November 13th, 2016
Curated by Marco Bazzini and Sergio Risaliti
Alfabeti Sommersi, the contemporary art exhibition brought to life thanks to the works of two major artists: Emilio Isgrò e Anselm Kiefer. The exhibit, on display in the Sala d’Arme in Palazzo Vecchio, retraces the reflections and the history of the 1966 flood in Florence. The show will be open from November 1st to November 13th, from 11am to 7pm. The submerged city, the destroyed workshops, the books immersed in the mud: the exhibition addresses a “path” fifty-years long that, for the 50th anniversary of the flood, Palazzo Vecchio will introduce to the public.
