Emilio Isgrò at Viridarium – Parco delle sculture del Museo di Santa Giulia

From December 15, the Parco delle sculture in the Santa Giulia Museum will permanently host a new monumental creation by the Sicilian artist, entitled Mondo d’acciaio.

On the surface of the huge steel sphere with a diameter of four meters, with reproduces the globe, only Brixia, the ancient Latin name for Brescia, stands out. The work concludes the Isgrò cancella Brixia project, inaugurated in October 2020 with the installation Incancellabile Vittoria at the Brescia Underground Railway Station, and becomes the material legacy that Fondazione Brescia Musei leaves to the city for the Italian Capital of Culture 2023.
